Getting a little quieter now. Hopefully I can get back to sleep after being startled awake by sounds that made me think the windows were  about to be blown in. I’m usually a pretty heavy sleeper but this? This is something else...

Good morning to you!

I usually manage to sleep through the storms. If not for one of our dogs, I’d never know what happened. I hope it didn’t cause any damage!

I experienced that last week. For about 15 minutes it sounded like a giant was using our roof as a drum set. It was freaky. My youngest came into our room crying and shaking like a leaf. I couldn't blame her, that sound was unreal.

We had sirens and a tornado watch at 6AM, which is about an hour before I usually wake up . Paire d with a tornado watch until like 11PM last night... Strongly dislike.

Our power went out at 11 last night, and is still out... Got 5" inches of rain, and some made it into our attic, so we’ve got ceiling damage in a couple rooms. Ugh...

WOW! Bummer! We got a lot too, but not that much! Glad you guys are okay though.

T he lake that is my courtyard got about as big as it possibly can, which resulted in about an inch or two of water in the garage. T hat is sort of par for the course with big rains and it never really damages anything . We’ve been improving the water removal system over the years, but when it goes like that there really isn’t much of a chance.

Luckily no damage (that I’ve found) to the house or cars. Dogs were a little freaked out haha. We briefly went into the basement this morning when the circulation was right over downtown. Dog B apparently hates basements, which has honestly never come up before. He just stood on the top step shaking like a leaf.

Definitely not a fun night.

Glad the water in the garage didn’t damage anything - sounds like you were ready for it.

You’re one of very few in Tulsa with a basement! Poor pooch!
